Sacred Ground
Baltimore Unity Hall is proud to present Sacred Ground is a powerful new exhibition that serves as a tribute to our city and celebrates creativity, community, and legacy in Baltimore, told through the vibrant and varied work of seven local artists. This community-driven, inaugural exhibition is made possible by the Mary Ann Connelly Fund in Support of Artists. This fund was established to support artists in Baltimore City in memory of Mary Ann Connelly, honoring her lifelong commitment to creativity. By providing direct financial support, the fund aims to help artists continue creating, growing, and enriching the city's cultural life.
Each of the seven artists offers a unique lens, reflecting on Baltimore’s past, present, and future through faith, tradition, and our shared search for belonging. The artists selected are:
● Maria-Theresa Fernandes
● Angel Jones
● Maridian Skyy
● Rae’Quan Peterson
● Brian Suryah
● Tesha Davilmar
● Desiree Thaniel
Join us for an inspiring evening celebrating the latest exhibition at Baltimore Unity Hall! The evening will feature an artist talk facilitated by Unique Robinson, a dynamic poet, educator, and cultural strategist known for creating powerful conversations that center creativity, identity, and collective healing.
